Cultural Narrative
One community member explained her efforts to team up with local nonprofits to reintroduce and plant mycelium around different communities. She explained the plan to teach young Indigenous people to plant and care for the mycelium. She describes focusing on communities where the soil is more polluted, allowing community ecosystems to thrive and grow. She explains how folding young people into this project teaches them not only how to care for their lands and the earth but also encourages them to learn about their Indigenous roots.
